Defense Sport is one of a kind!  It is the first and only, alcohol free and sugar free product designed to cleanse athletic mouthguards.  Defense Sport is a practical addition to sports sidelines everywhere - meant to be used by athletes to cleanse a mouthguard whenever it is out of the mouth.  By promoting healthy habits and encouraging regular cleansing of sports mouthguards, SaniBrands intends to aid athletes everywhere that want to remain healthy and competitive.

The Ingredients

This product was designed to utilize simple and highly effective ingredients that align with SaniBrands mission to combine accepted scientific knowledge with common sense to create a practical product.  

Ingredients:

The active ingredient in Defense Sport, Mouthguard Cleansing Rinse, is chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG).  CHG is a chemical commonly used in a variety of products including mouthwashes, skin cleansers, and popular sanitizers.  Other ingredients include purified water, glycerin and mint for flavoring. + epa warnings that are required

Warnings:

CAUTION:  Avoid contact in eyes

DANGER: Do not use if you are known to be hypersensitive to Chlorhexidine Gluconate or other formula ingredients.

DANGER:  Do not drink Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse.

KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN UNDER 45 lbs. / 20 kgs.

First Aid:

If SWALLOWED:   Ingestion of 1-2 ounces by a small child (~10 kg body weight) might result in gastric distress, including nausea, or signs of alcohol intoxication. 

Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice if more than 4 ounces of DEFENSE, Sport Mouth Guard Rinse Oral Rinse is ingested by a small child or if signs of alcohol intoxication develop.  Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

In any case, call a poison control center or doctor immediately if any allergic reaction occurs (e.g., blistering, discoloration of teeth, gastric distress, nausea or signs of intoxication).

If IN EYES: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 20 minutes.  Remove contact lenses, if present, after first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for advice.

Instructions:

“Rinse, Shake, Bite” 

Rinse - Simply hold mouthguard and squirt the Defense Sport solution thoroughly on both sides (if using for an indoor sport - rinse mouth guard above the Defense Sport spit bucket)

Shake - Give the mouth guard a shake to remove excess solution

Bite - Insert mouthguard and go play!

Label Instructions for Application:

  • Apply DEFENSE, Sport thoroughly to both sides of mouth guard
  • Shake off excess
  • Insert mouth guard into mouth 
  • Do not swallow any excess liquid
  • Avoid eye contact
